Why We Like The Flex Short Liner
While we often like to remain in denial to being mere mortals, mother nature likes to remind us every so often with a solid knock off the bike, sending you careening into the trees for a little dash of humbling reality. These blows can be day-enders, or even season enders, or you can slide on a pair of 7 Protection Flex Short Liners before you hit the trail for solid protection that helps you get right back up again to keep pushing the limits of your superpowers. These shorts offer a compressive fit that hugs your muscles while you ride, but more importantly, polygon foam padding shielding your hips, thighs, and tail bone when you go down hard.
7 Mesh utilizes this polygon layout for the padded sections so that you can experience a natural flex and stride on the bike, moving with you with minimal restriction while still providing impact absorption. The padding is strategically placed to provide coverage in areas most prone to big hits, with emphasis in giving peace of mind and confidence to riders who have had previous injuries to the hip or coccyx. Carrying protection and comfort further, the shorts have an integrated chamois pad to give you cushion for long days on the bike. It uses multi-density foam to relieve pressure and reduce the chances of hot spots and chaffing, and flat lock stitching to keep irritating seams out of your way.

Great coverage but horrible fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
The pad coverage of these is great but the fit is terrible. These are massive! They are crazy long and on my the chamois pad is way too bulky. I am 6'4" waist 34 and I sized down to a medium and even its a bit too loose and big.

Great pad design but poor fit
- Familiarity:
- I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

- 10.5

I'm 5'8" 160# with a 32" waist -- the mediums were HUGE. Too big on the waist and extremely "roomy"...up front 8\. The pad placement and coverage seemed excellent but I had to return them.

I have tried Gforms which don't stay up. These fit well and cover with better padding.

Pretty great!

I'm new to the sport and love having some extra protection--and these are great! Super comfortable and the pads are placed well. I've taken a couple spills in them and, although I got a pretty good bruise after one fall, I am sure that it would have been SO MUCH worse. Anyway, these are great! Sizing is great as well. I'm a 33 waist (6 foot, 190 pounds), and the medium fits like a glove.

good protection, but!

I bought this for downhill runs at the bike park. The build quality and protection seem fine. But, the fit is odd. I am 5'9"/160lbs w 33" waist. The waist fits fine but the length is a bit long and the leg bands are loose, so not great fit for my body. I have to fold the waist band down one fold to make the length better. The pad for your seat is a little wide so it has a bit of diaper feel to it. Not nearly as bad as the Fox Titan but not as nice as a standard bike short. I am keeping for the protection, but it could be better.
