Why We Built The Backcountry GORE-TEX Snow Glove
We're no fair-weather skiers, so we made the burly Backcountry GORE-TEX Snow Glove so we can play in any conditions. We rely on GORE-TEX to keep our hands dry during slushy snowstorms and powder days alike, and its equally impressive breathability keeps us cool on warm spring laps. Tough and supple goatskin leather teams up with stretchy synthetic to double down on weather protection, and the glove's fleece lining and recycled synthetic insulation create cozy comfort on the coldest days of the season.

Could have been the best winter gloves
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
These could have been the best winter gloves ever. I bought them for riding my bike and going out in the freezing Chicago winter. The gloves are extremely good looking and the leather feels high quality. They have also kept my fingers warm when biking in temperatures slightly below 0F. However, they have one serious design flaw: the thumb is too large, making grasping things with the gloves hard. When comparing to the REI Guide Insulated gloves (M vs. M), the fit in the fingers is quite similar, but the thumb is uncomfortably large. This is in part due to a bulky stitching in the tip of the thumb. This makes it difficult to grab keys and open zippers. The second minor design flaw is that the gloves have no stitching holding the insulated liner in half the bottom of the glove. This isn't a problem after a few weeks of use but feels like it could cause the liner to tangle inside.
