Does the job

- I've put it through the wringer
Decent soft shell, its wind resistant and affordable (especially on sale). But the drawstring for the waist is located in the pocket and only on the right hand side. If you need to keep the cold / wind out, it will need to be adjusted / re-tightened every time you put the jacket on. On the plus side it does have velcro cuffs which are substantial enough. This was replacing an old North Face Apex which was definitely more substantial, but no longer had an adjustable cuff.
