Darn Tough socks too tight

I wear a large size sock, but these are far too tight where the instep meets the leg. I can barely get them on my feet.

I’ve had 3-4 pairs of these and I typical blow the toes out of all my socks. Not these. I have a pair there are almost 8 years old and show no sign of falling apart anytime soon.

Fit and feel are great!

Loved these socks!! Hiked 4 days in the Grand Canyon with them. They were fantastic up top (cold in January) but a little too warm at 50F or higher.

Not warm enough for below freezing

I also have the Smartwool PHD heavy crew and Heater brand socks that are quite a bit warmer than these. They do wick well and aren't bulky.

Are the height of these boot or crew? The product name says boot but the Tech Specs says crew.
