I've put it through the wringer

Bought an xs bat plate and received it yesterday. This review is more about backcountry as a whole than it is about the product (though, not entirely). First thing I did was an inspection of the plate and I noticed the manufacturing date was from 2007!!!! DMM states that their metal products have no lifespan for obsolescence (good forever from the date of manufacturing). However, I still find it odd that the bat plate I received from backcountry is 14 years old (that's some OLD inventory). Just something to consider for those buying any climbing products.
