Why We Like The Caddy II Bag

From the approach to moving between routes, the Caddy II simplifies our rope carry. Once at the wall, we unhook and uncinch the top to unfurl the tarp and rope. When we're ready to move on to the next line, we simply grab each tie-in point for a simple transfer.

Maybe the Perfect Gym/Crag Rope Bag

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

Edelrid is finding a way to innovate in some small, but incredibly useful ways lately. This Rope Caddy II is just about the perfect gym/easy approach crag rope bag. Its method of closure is simple, yet different and faster than anyone else. Ensure the rope is on the tarp - pick up the tarp at all four corners, give it a good shake and close everything up. Super fast, simple, and intuitive. Keep in mind that this isn't the best bag for ALL situations, though. If I need to carry my rope for much of a distance on the approach, or if I want to carry a bunch of other gear in the bag (for something like a quick sport climbing session), I prefer the DMM rope bag with it's larger size and far superior compression and shoulder straps. But, when I want a convenient, well built, and super fast/easy to use gym/crag rope bag I reach for this. Edelrid onsighted this one.
