Why We Like The Speedframe MIPS Pro Helmet
The Speedframe Pro is a helmet you forget about while wearing it, and that’s why it’s one of our favorites. The safety conscious construction helps us focus on the next feature instead of the next tree. With MIPS technology we won’t be subject to the same forces the helmet encounters on the ground and the large ventilation ports means plenty of airflow to keep our head cool and collected.

I don’t even notice when I’m wearing this helmet. Comfortable, lightweight, great ventilation. My favorite part is the magnet clasp for the strap. Such a great feature.

Fantastic weight, coverage, and comfort. Had a hard time finding a helmet and tried several brands. My head measures a 59.5 cm, and ordered the large. Fit is great, I still need to crank it down a bit so not maxed out on the size but definitely doesn’t feel sloppy/too big. I’m having less sweat dripping down into my eyes with this helmet than I have in the past which is an added bonus. It breathes super well, easy to operate visor, buckle, and tightening. Really happy with this helmet!

Helmet seems okay but Fox sizing design and BC needs to improve sizing listing. Backcountry -- sizing for the speedframe is not in the sizing chart button (other Fox model helmets are) so I had to go elsewhere to get the proper size chart. Fox -- other helmet makers design their sizes to overlap so medium ends at 58cm and large starts at 57cm. For speedframe 59cm is the upper end of M and lower end of L, which is exactly what my head measured. I thought there'd be some wiggle room but nope, large was just a bit loose with my hair short. If I was a couple weeks late on my haircut the L might fit but then the M won't! Overlap your size ranges by 1cm and everyone can find a helmet size that works. If your head measures in middle of their sizing range, go for it!

Very comfortable
- Familiarity:
- I returned this product before using it
Using this as my primary helmet, riding a lot in hot weather. The helmet is very comfortable in hot weather, never making it feel hot. It’s also very light, and I don’t really notice wearing it. I’ve used it with different sunglasses, and all worked well.

Good Helmet, Cheap Plastic
Everything about this helmet is great and more comfortable than my TroyLee. But I am having to get the retention system replaced for the second time. The first time I thought is was a fluke in Moab but the knob just unscrewed itself and came off somewhere, no fall. You can still adjust but its a pain. After several emails back and forth to Fox and Backcountry during COVID to get a replacement part, just the knob, they wanted me to send in the entire helmet back. As you can see the large are all sold out so no helmet for me if I went this route. Finally they, Fox, agreed to just send a new retention system which is definitely cheaper for them anyway and in stock. Unfortunately, about 5-10 rides down the road, it happened again this time I found the knob in the back of my shirt and saw how the plastic broke inside where the tiny screw threads into. Again, no fall or maxing out the adjustments, it just gave under what ever conditions were that day, 80 degrees and clear in Colorado. Having to go through this process all over again now. It is a very comfortable helmet at a great price, but damn the cheap plastic on the back. If you purchase this, go to the Fox website and order a new retention system for spare parts.
