Warm, functional boots

These boots are great. They fit true to size - I’m a 10 and they fit great with room for heavy socks, too. The treading is decent for moderate terrain and snow. I could wear them on compacted snow trails in 20 degree Vermont weather and was warm enough and had good grip. My feet are always cold and these surprisingly kept them warm for several hours outdoors. They’ve been great for the ski mountain, everyday wear in the snow (shoveling, errands, etc). The real reason I got them is for taking the kids sledding - haven’t put them to that ultimate test yet but I think they’ll be good after trying them in these other environments first. I also bought the North Face Shellista II Mid Boots because the reviews had been good and returned them in both sizes I tried. They were not nearly as comfortable and were a very awkward fit. I would get these Helly Hansen’s again in a second.
