Leaks after 3 uses.

Extremely disappointed that the pot started leaking through to the heating element after 3 uses. I lost approximately 1 cup of water in about 5 minutes- I should have drank my boiling water faster I suppose. I am hopeful that Jetboil will take the unit back under warranty.

Hot Water Quick!

I have borrowed and used a few older versions of the Flash, but this one was new to me. It works exactly like you want it to. Lit quick and easy, boiled water fast, and I love the color changing logo on the side of the cup. Easy to see when the water is boiling, and less likely to have to open it to see if it's boiling yet.

Effective, durable, lightweight.
I use it on multi day trips and at work (I work in the wilderness) and it's never failed me. the fuel lasts long, the thing heats water "in a flash" and overall it's not heavy which is great. I specifically use this for dehydrated foods and have a separate container for eating. I could see this becoming a real fun item to clean if you let soup or chili overcook. I wouldn't do anything except boil water in it, but I know some people who do cook and eat strait out of it.

Terrible Customer Service

I had a jet boil stove and really liked the product. Until I went on a multi-day mountaineering traverse. On day one of the trip, I was prepping my dinner near my tent when the stove caught fire. I immediately shut off the gas valve and to my shock the flame only got much larger. A climbing partner quickly through water on it (don’t do that) which made the flame spread. I ended up covering the stove in sand to put out the flame but the pot and stove had melted from the heat. I was disappointed but glad my tent didn’t burn down! After the trio I contacted jet boil to let them know what happened. No response. I followed up asking for a response. They responded asking for pictures. I sent them. No response. I asked for another response and they sent an email saying “it looks like someone has already responded so this is issue has been taken care of.” What? No, your faulty product nearly burnt down my tent and melted itself. I emailed back saying I want closure on this. They asked for proof of purchase, which I sent and then they said they would send me a package to mail in the faulty product for inspection. I awaited the package to send my burnt up melted stove. It never came. At this point I’m down with Jet Boil. They’re customer service is so bad it would have literally been better if they just said “sorry nothing we can do” to my first email rather than jerk me around.
