Revel IV Mid Polar Boot

For lovers of the deep frost of winter, the Keen Revel IV Mid Polar boot acts like a mobile armored cocoon with a built-in fireplace. Stepping into the tall-standing lace-up, you’ll be comforted by the KEEN.WARM insulation, which braces against negative 25-degree F conditions, for extreme travels to glistening landscapes. A thermal shield insole bounces back heat to your toes as the temps continue to cool. In mixed weather conditions or days when you are in and out of the house, the waterproof upper and sole keep out rain and snowmelt to maintain a cozy, dry interior compartment. And the outsole with KEEN.Polar Traction grips on snow and ice for added peace of mind as you explore your wintery views.

True to size and comfortable

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I have trouble finding shoes that fit well and provide the support i need. I've been very happy with these boots. I have a wider foot with very high arches. The support has been perfect with plenty of room in the toe box. Very happy with my purchase and will be buying Keens again for summer hikers!

I purchased these boots for durability and traction because I walk my dog a lot outside. We have some pretty intense winter conditions. At first I was very pleased with fit, warmth and traction. I had only worn the boots a few times, as we had a late winter this year, when I was lacing up and the hook fell right off. I contacted Backcountry customer service via email. I received a generic response that someone would be in touch with me. A couple weeks went by with no response so I contacted Backcountry via telephone. I was informed I could return the boots but there are none left in my size. I was told I could get store credit. I had to return the boots, wait for quarantine, and wait for review for store credit. I was given store credit for my purchase price but NOT including the $50 new customer coupon code I had used. Unfortunately not much selection was left in my size for a boot which appealed to me. I ended up adding additional funds to the purchase. Overall, disappointed in the purchase and the customer service process.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOT

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

Don't buy this boot. And definitely don't buy this boot from Backcountry. If you insist on buying it, go to REI as they will always replace your shoes when something goes wrong. And with this boot it will only take 2 hikes to have the first toggle fall off (that holds the laces). By the end of the next hike, another toggle will fall off. Now you can't lace up either of your boots, Backcountry can't help you and Keen won't help you. So you have spent almost $200 on a pair of boots that can't manage two small hikes. Pathetic. Don't waste your money. And don't buy Keen products. They will only fix your boots within 30 days of purchase. So you have to break them within 30 days of ORDERING them. Don't mind that it might take a week to get them, then three weeks for Backcountry to get back to you about how they can't help you and now suddenly you have to make sure they break within 5 minutes of receiving them, otherwise, sorry! We can't help you. Buy from REI. They always guarantee their products.

Fit perfectly

I have pretty wide, flat feet. That’s one reason why I went with Keen boots. These winter boots are so comfortable for my feet by giving me that extra room that I need. I normally wear 8.5 and they were true to size. I wore them in my first snow storm walk (Winter Storm Gail 2020) and they kept my feet warm and dry while walking in the snow around town. I would definitely recommend to those with wider feet! They also look great! I bought the red ones.

Can’t adjust for narrow feet

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I have pair of Keen snow boots that I love. Wanted to love these. They look great, they seem comfortable, but I couldn’t get them snug enough through the mid foot area to keep my feet from sliding around. Could maybe have corrected in the arch area with a footbed but the heel was too roomy to prevent slipping. For an average foot, they’d likely be great.
