Why We Like The Targhee Vent Hiking Shoe

Whether in the dry air of the desert or the humidity of the Appalachian range, the heat on a hike can be a real buzzkill. That's why we keep cool in the Keen Targhee Vent Hiking Shoe, which provides plenty of airflow without sacrificing protection and support. Its leather upper has mesh vents to allow perspiration to escape, and the mesh lining increases breathability for your entire foot.

Traction from the All-Terrain outsole and the multi-directional lugs lets you confidently ascend and descend. As you hike, the EVA midsole and footbed absorb the impact and disperse it to reduce your fatigue, so you can crush miles and see more before you need to rest. Keen added a CleanSport NXT treatment to help reduce odors, so you can forget your shoes in the car without it smelling like your middle school gym locker when you get in next.

Arrived dirty and left shoe issues

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

So these arrived dirty to me from backcountry. Tread was dirty, dirt in treads, scuffs, and hair and bits of stuff inside the shoes!!!! This is the second time I have gotten footwear from backcountry that have been dirty. They weren't even in a keen box so yeah. Weird. I decided to just ignore it and try them on anyway. (I have the keen targhee III boot and love it) There was something up with the left shoe by the heel on the inside. Something would click and I could feel something moving under the insole. None of the tread felt loose so I think it was inside somewhere. Total bummer. I usually wear an 8.5, and I buy a 9 in women's keens and they fit good. Disappointed in backcountry for sending dirty, scuffed, and hair inside the shoes. It is only letting me upload one pic, unfortunately!
