I bought the Klymit x pillow recently through an offer on their site and I only paid like $6 plus shipping for this pillow. I imagine this one is made the same way, it's just xlarge. I have used many backpacking pillows over the years, and I've never met one as poorly designed as this. Have any of you tried deflating it?? It is so frustratingly complicated compared to everything I've ever tried. Can't just fold and push out the air, honestly probably gotta suck the air out. The x design creates pockets of air, and you will never get it as small as it was when you received it. Annoying. Not worth $6.

I typically don't camp or backpack with a pillow, but I decided to give it a shot. My first impression is that this is much larger than I was expecting. That isn't necessarily a bad thing because it stays super tiny until inflated. I'd say for a little bit of extra weight, it is definitely worth having. It isn't the most comfortable thing in the world, but it is super adjustable and accommodating for however, you like your pillow. It definitely works better than my old technique of wadding up my dirty clothes or a hoodie in an attempt to get some sleep. This particular pillow has sort of a strange shape, but it just happens to work with my side sleeping habits.
