Static V2 Sleeping Pad
Lighter than—yet just as comfortable as—the original, the Klymit Static V2 Sleeping Pad is a must-have for any serious backpacker. With a new, lighter high-end polyester fabric, the V2 makes for a cushy trek in and then an even cushier night's sleep. It only takes 10-15 breaths to inflate, and with the included stuff sack and patch kit, transportation and repairs are a breeze.

Not for the side sleeper
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
- Size Bought:
- 34 waist
- Height:
- 6' 2"
- Weight:
- 190
I woke up so many times from hip pain anytime I would roll onto my side. Made for a miserable nights sleep. Probably tolerable if you’re a back sleeper.

Great when it doesn’t leak
Valve tends to leak and I wake up on a hard surface if it’s not tightened to the MAX. When it doesn’t leak it’s great!

Junk!
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
Deflated 2nd night into a 14 day trip leaving me sleeping on hard ground! Unable to fix, bad valve.

Not good for a side sleeper.
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
The quality of this item is good and comfortable for the price if you're a back sleeper. I'm 6ft 180lbs and this pad is too thin for me as a side sleeper. I was on a 5 day canoe trip and woke up several times each night from hip pain and had bruises over both hips by the end of the trip. Pros: Inflates easy, easy to use valve, durable. Cons: Too thin and not enough support for a side sleeper. Deflates a little slowly.
