Why We Like The Rydr Pant

The only way to make a full day of bouldering at your favorite local site better is to do it with the Kuhl Rydr Pant, which features stretchy fabric, a gusseted crotch, and articulated knees for comfort in the crux. This slightly stretchy cotton twill pant has a wider-leg for thick-thighed athletes so you won’t feel constricted when you go for a heel hook. The double-needle bar tacks and two-layer pockets and hems provide extra reinforcement while you climb, hike, or scramble up a rugged goat path.

Most expensive and worst pants I own.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

The snap on these pants is absolutely useless. I wear these pants occasionally to change the oil in my truck because I cannot bring myself to toss them in the trash because they cost so much and I would not want to put a thrift store shopper thru this. When I do wear them I am snapping the snap all day long. The crotch area has been annoyingly enlarged and looks really funny when you walk. My neighbor tried to give me his pair because he refused to wear them and I refused to take them. 5'11' 175, 32x32...not a hard fit for most pants manufacturers. No way I am posting a picture...you will make fun of me.

Kuhl Ryder Pants

Familiarity:
I returned this product before using it

I bought Kuhl Ryder pants twice. The material is heavy weight 98% cotton 2% Spandex. Great outdoor fabric for fall and winter. The dying is somewhat irregular and fades irregularly which affects the appearance over time. I love the cut and feel but... out of the package the leg creases are horrible. One leg is spot on in alignment with the seams. The other leg seams are out of alignment by 1.5" which affects the drape and appearance. The second pair I ordered came with the leg creases off exactly disproportionately like the first pair. Both pair were creased identically out of alignment with the seams. The second pair were a different color and size. I can't believe the poor quality of ironing leg creases from the factory. There’s no way to correct it by ironing a new crease in the pant leg. The old crease still remains making the appearance looking like factory seconds. Mildly disappointed for pants that cost $90 because of the offset crease down the pant legs.

Non-functioning snap

I would rate these a zero if I could - the snap fastener for the waist is so weak that it might as well not be there. It comes unsnapped if I even breathe. I wear them with a belt, and the keeps them from falling off, but honestly - who wants to operate with pants that are coming undone all the time? If the pants used a real button, I'd give them a five rating.

Great all-around pant

The fit on these is perfect. They are very light with the perfect amount of stretch while still feeling durable. These pants ride low on your waist but don’t sag in the seat. So it will feel like you want to pull them up sometimes but they are actually sitting on your body perfectly. Great everyday pant. I wear them bouncing around between the office, yard work, hiking, archery, gun range and everything else in between. They look great, the fit is top notch and very comfortable. Highly recommend these pants.

Great!

Familiarity:

I am big jeans guy- love denim. These however, are gusseted and articulated- way more movement than jeans. Very durable- I have gone up and down (and slid) mountains, tons of yard work, woods walks, through brush, rain, snow, raining snow, cleaned stalls, all seasons with these. Had some pairs for 4 years and they still look good (color definitely fades though). Accidentally put a hole the size of a nickle in one of them almost 4 years ago, still the size of a nickle today. I own 9 pairs of these and only 2 pairs of jeans(1pair is on its last legs though(pun not initially intended)). My brother has put even more miles on his and they hold up just fine. I have thick legs and the 40x32s fit great. Most other clothing companies are way too tight, can't move if I can even get them on. These would be my apocalypse pants, but I would really like to the forest firefighter pants- COAXSHER Citadel: kevlar, nomex, etc. but they're $330 a piece...maybe someday. I highly suggest these to anyone. 6'3" 270lbs 40x32 shoe14wide neck17.5 jacket 48 long
