Crag Dry Duodess Rope - 9.5mm
Why We Like The Crag Dry Duodess Rope
Among Mammut's arsenal of Crag climbing ropes, the Crag Dry Duodess Rope stands out to us as a high-performance all-arounder for rock, ice, and every route in between. Mammut's Dry treatment excels UIAA's standards for abrasion-resistance as well as water-resistance, so this rope thrives in both desert and alpine environments. The skinny 9.5mm diameter delicately balances between strength and lightness, making the rope suitable for both single- and multi-pitch routes.

Really not happy with this rope. Have had good luck with one other Mammut rope and went with the this for the different colors for each half of the rope. From the first time I used it is really wasted up and is impossible to get the kinks out of it. After a few days using it, it also is way more fuzzy than I thought it should be, I like the color but will not buy one of these again.

Second time in the past 18 months I've got a Mammut rope that I'm not psyched on. Though this would replace an old Infinity I loved. This one definitely has a very high impact force. Jarring even taking short falls with a good belayer. Also handling is not nearly as good as my older ropes. Had bad luck with their 9.2 (can't remember the name of that one. Always was a fan, but something is different.

Awesome for the crag!

Handles with ease and doesn't get twisty during the first few uses like so many ropes do. And I love how obvious the bi-pattern is!

For the number of UIAA Falls it indicates "7-Jun." What is 7-Jun?

How old would this rope be, from being made if I bought it?
