Great but mind the ski edges

Used them for two full weeks in Switzerland, skiing for about 8 hours a day, from bluebird to full-on whiteout conditions with -20C and 35km/h winds (about -4F and 20mph), mostly above 2500m (8200ft) and up to 4000m (13100ft). Overall I would say they are a pretty decent pair of pants for the price (highly recommend buying when on sale). Mobility is good, although they are a little baggy since they are a regular fit, but the waist adjusters hold out even when falling. Got it on the regular length so slightly longer on my legs, but otherwise fine. They can run a bit hot when the sun is out but the side vents are pretty helpful, although they have no mesh in the openings. I didn't feel cold when caught in a storm at 4000m with only a base layer on my legs, but I usually run hot save for the hands, so results may vary I guess. Only two issues to remark: 1- The fabric got wet after a full day of particularly wet sleet falling, but didn't happen again so I'll give it the benefit of the doubt on this. 2- Got a small cut (about 1/4") on the front of the leg after a hard fall where the ski edge caught the fabric outside of the Cordura reinforcement. Easily solved with fabric tape but other models have all-around reinforcement in that area (more expensive though).

Could’ve been awesome!

These pants could’ve been awesome! They seem very high quality in material, and everything about them is solid. The problem, is in the fit. I read that they had a little bit of an awkward fit, but I’ve had Mammut snow pants before, so I decided to size up from those and go with something a bit baggier in some places. Turns out my thigh still can’t really fit in the snow pants, while the waist was massive! If you have an athletic build AT ALL (I’m not that athletic build) or have built up leg muscles in ANY WAY, these are not meant for you… cheers to skinny legs and massive waists!
