Why We Like The Trestles 15 Sleeping Bag

We break out the Marmot Trestles 15 Sleeping Bag after a long, cold day of pounding trails and treat our tired muscles to a cozy, uninterrupted night's slumber. This bag's resilient polyester shell stands up to seasons of abuse, while its synthetic insulation continues to insulate even if we set up on soggy ground. Lofty SpiraFil LT insulation combines hollow fibers and denser, solid synthetic fibers to create a balance of warmth, softness, and compressibility for easy packing, whether we're car camping for the weekend or on a longer adventure.

Great bag, great quality!

I made it to Eagle Scout with 100's of nights of camping under my belt in a Walmart bag with a blanket liner. Grew up, got a decent job and decided to upgrade some of my gear including this bag. I bought mine from BC in Jan 2018 and have used it about 10 nights since. Most of my camping happens November-March, so 20's overnight is common. Strip before bed, fresh base layers and wool socks and no problems staying warm.

Very warm, almost too warm.

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

First night was cold and the trestle kept me toasty warm. The overnight low was supposed to be around 40 but felt colder than that outdoors. I had to strip from my sleeping clothes but stayed in the mummy bag all night for warmth. The next night must have been warmer as I basically just slept on top of the sleeping bag, using just a normal blanket to cover. So I'd say first night was mid to upper 30s for the low and it kept me very warm. I was sleeping in my pull trailer (not an RV just a regular enclosed pull trailer). Might be a little bit more protection from the elements than a tent though which is why I mention it. Overall it performed quite well and am happy with it. Oh, I'm 5'8" and have quite a bit of room left at the feet. Not an issue just saying it seems you can be 6'8" and not have your toes cramped. So I will say runs true to size as I'm not a large dude.
