I have only used it on one backpacking trip so far but this will definitely be the stove I grab from now one. I have used several Jetboils in the past and the BRS for the last few years and this seems to be the best of both those options. Far lighter than a Jetboil but still very efficient (both boil time and fuel consumption) and much more efficient and wind resistant than the BRS. I agree with all the reviews I found online that say this is the best stove for most situations.

Replaced my Jetboil
- Familiarity:
- I've used it several times
While the Jetboil was great at boiling water it was a little too heavy, having used a whisperlite for years I knew I could depend on the MSR brand and decided to go with the Pocket Rocket Deluxe as part of my next cook system. I liked the built-in ignitor and found it to be extremely convenient especially when trying to light the stove with gloves on (versus trying to use a bic lighter). I paired it with the Pika kettle (since I primarily eat freeze-dried food on trail) and was able to shave about 8oz from my base weight.

Perfect little stove
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I have only used this a couple times so far but with great results. Boils water up quick and is in a small light package. The igniter worked perfect the few times I have used it. I bought this one because I liked the larger surface area of the burner assuming it would help cook quicker too.
