Sizing = I find all Norrona sizes to be a bit small by American standards. I am a large in everything American, but need and XL for tops and bottoms from Norrona. We are just not built like the Norse. And they run down past my knee cap. A little long for my preference but can live lwith it. Performance: They work well for climbing and riding. I like the right thigh pocket for my phone. They have adjustable waist straps so when I lose holiday weight, they can still fit. The fly zipper is really strong and tough. The pocket zippers are ok. The front thigh ventilation zippers really are more for decoration because they don't open much and still have fabric that does not circulate that well. Look = These look awesome. There are equivalent premium shorts from other manufacturers. But I buy Norrona products because they look super cool and no one else has them. For that exclusivity, I am willing to pay a premium.
