These are NOT polarized!

I bought these because Backcountry's description said they are polarized, and before purchasing them I online-chatted with a Backcountry rep who said they are polarized. But they are not. According to Oakley's website, the Oakley canteen 0009225-12 have "Plutonite lenses provide 100 percent UV filtering". Apparently the Dark Bronze Lenses are NOT polarized. Oakley offers two other lens options for the Canteen model that are polarized: Chrome Iridium Polarized Lenses and Jade Iridium Polarized Lenses. But again, the dark bronze lenses are not polarized. No wonder they're at least 25 dollars cheaper! When I online-chatted with Backcountry the rep did apologize and issued me a return authorization, so back they go. Buyer beware! I did give a 2-star rating because if polarization isn't a need or want, these are nice sunglasses.
