Why We Like The Composite Pedal
Based on the same confidence-inspiring platform as OneUp Components' Aluminum Pedal, the OneUp Composite Pedal brings you similar performance with ideal grip, size, and weight, but at less than half the price. DU and cartridge bearing technology delivers easy serviceability, smooth rotation, and lasting durability, while ten removable steel pins packed on each side of the platform ensure maximum grip. Its wider platform design makes for an easy footplant and increases stability, while the slightly contoured shape provides a natural and truly connected feeling underfoot.

Not for winter fat biking

Nice pedal for dirt, but the two small windows are snow traps, in which large icebergs form. Stay with a more open pedal for winter fatbiking..I'll be going back to my chesters

I bought a pair of these after switching to flats and liked them so much I bough another pair for my sons bike. They hold up to abuse and work great. A very good entry level pedal. I have probably put over 1000 miles on a pair with no problems.

UPS lost the package and finally admitted it on a Tuesday. Called Backcountry and they 2 day air mailed the new pedals, here on Friday ready for the weekend. Pedals are awesome too.

I bought these for obvious reasons. I should have listened to the reviews that said they squeak, because sure enough with two weeks of riding they started to make noise. I returned the pedals- bummed!

New mountain biker, so take this with a grain of salt, but these are my first pedals and I love them. They are lightweight and grippy.

I’m using these with Freerider Pros, and the grip is excellent. I prefer the slightly larger platform over my Chesters. The only negative is I’ve had to disassemble and grease both pedals after a couple months while my Chesters have been silent for years.

I had pretty low expectations for these pedals since they were only $49 at the time I purchased. However, they have a ton of grip, the size is on point (I wear a size 9 shoe), they are very light, and spin just fine. The screws are quite sharp, so you don't want to catch these in the shin! I did have to tighten a few screws with a hex key as some weren't 100% tight upon arrival, by that's a small complaint.

Riding up in the PNW you gotta get up before you get down. Most of the time it’s wet as well. These pedals have been great. They have a lower profile than my last ones which were almost 3x more expensive, which means I get less pedal strikes. The ten pins per side don’t let my feet go anywhere. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a new pedal. Believe the hype.

All grip and no slip

I've had these on my bike for about 2 years and they've never let me down! They have encountered numerous rock strikes and only suffered a bent pin or two while still looking great and functioning like they did out of the box. The grip is great with normal shoes but pair them with a good cycling shoe and it's unreal. I was skeptical of these at this price point but am now a firm believer. The color options are awesome too. I am rockin the orange on my Nomad and love the look!

Looking for a pedal to put on my road bike to turn it into more of a commuter (I currently have Shimano spd ultegra pedals). My bike is a carbon frame—would these be be a good option or is there another more lightweight option you’d recommend? Basically wanting an around-town bike since I don’t race anymore, without actually buying a new bike altogether haha.
