Great Sweater/Jacke

Just as the product description says, this is a most comfortable, warm alternative to a traditional wool sweater. I read the reviews and went with the size I get in almost every top which is XS. The body is slim and the arms perfect (one reviewer mentioned the sleeves being quite snug and I don’t find that). It’s perfect for me as I wanted it for general use as well as playing golf when the temptations call for a layer. I wear it with a tee or icebreaker layer underneath. It can be dressed up (with a scarf and better slacks & shoes) or down according to your activity. I love the light gray color as it goes with everything.

I have been sitting on whether or not I should buy this jacket or not. I should have just pulled the trigger a long time ago. It is super soft, comfortable and I love all the pockets. It does fit slim and remember it will be over other clothes. I wear a medium in shirts and bought a large in this. It was the right move. I already have another picked out.

Warm and does the job

I’m 5’1 and 110 lbs. I bought a small. The fit is true to size with a little room for layering. The sweater is warm and keeps me toasty on my walks, hikes, and skiing. The sweater is not bulky and does not restrict movement. I have worn it as a mid-layer under my lightweight puffer jacket that’s wind and water resistant and it has worked out great in 20-30 degrees temps. For really cold days, I would add a shell over it and maybe an extra layer.

Keeps Me Toasty

I tend to get pretty cold when I am in anything below 35 degrees. I added this to my layering system and it made a huge difference in my comfort in the cold. Super cozy, without the bulk.

Poor Zipper Quality

I was excited to purchase my first "Better Sweater" after hearing great feedback from my friends who own them. When I received mine and tried it on, the zipper closure was sticky. I sent it back for an exchange. The replacement I received also had a sticky zipper closure, and the entirety of the zipper was wavy and would not lay flat, even after zipping. My mom commented that maybe the zipper is too light weight given the heaviness of the fabric. Are you guys cheaping out on the zipper? I really wanted to like this but am so disappointed!

Way too snug

I normally love Patagonia their quality is always top notch, HOWEVER their sizing is really poor. I’m a pretty small woman and I consistently fail to fit into the sleeves of Patagonia products including this jacket. While the torso fit perfectly the arms and shoulders were extremely snug and is the reason for returning it. I’m a small in almost every brand and never have issues like this where my arms feel like their in sausage casings.
