very comfortable all around pants

I love these pants, they've been good for hiking, yard work, mountain biking, rock climbing and just relaxing. I usually wear a medium in pants but ordered a large for extra room. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is when I bend at the waist, the pants don't provide much coverage in the back. I would prefer a higher waist.

Not sturdy, not climbing pants

This is the second pair of tried if these and not worth it. They should not be advertised as climbing pants, they rip too easily. First time wearing them, climbed outside on granite, ripped. Same happened with the first pair I owned. Probably fine for hiking or non-contact things, not good climbing pants. They should also consider adding a cinch cord to the waist, it stretches easily.

Purchased for upcoming trip to Switzerland. Conditions at various elevations can vary and the fabric weight should work well. I don't always have a chance to change clothes after a day hike and these can be worn regardless of the activity. The fit is very flattering yet extremely comfortable. I am 5'7" and 130, 28" waist, fairly short rise and curvy thighs/behind. Initially ordered the M in Granite because I am all about comfort, but am between sizes, and these definitely run large. The grey was unavailable in that size but liked them so much reordered the small in Deep Stellar. Super flattering, and supremely comfortable. LOVE the deep pockets and articulated knees. Waist sits more like a midrise on me, it's stretchy but not overly so; even with kinda heavy items in the pockets I don't feel like it pulls the pants downward. Might have had that problem if I had kept the medium, but the small is snug without binding at all. I will be wearing clothing several times between washes and these look just as good wearing several days straight while dog walking and light farm work. Since I will be doing a variety of activities during a typical day and may not be able to change outfits, I can bring a clean shirt and switch out my hikers and should be good.

This is the best pants for climbing and outdoors in general. Deep pockets with a comfortable waistband. A little warm for the summer, but great for the other 3 seasons. I have 5 colors so far, and will continue to add to my collection!

I love them! These pants are super comfy and hold up great for climbing, hiking, lounging, ...anything! As for sizing, I usually get a size small in prana pants because I don't like it feeling tight on my stomach or my thighs, especially for climbing. For this pant I went the x-small. The waistband feels tight while I'm pulling them on, but, once on, they fit perfectly due to the extra room in the thigh area and the fact that the high rise band sits on my natural waist. That being said, our bodies are all different, so if you don't know your size in other prana pants, try a few on first. Different curves have different needs.

Great Pants.... Not for curves

I purchased these pants because of the amazing reviews they were given. I pretty much didn't come across a single negative review. I'm 5'7" and weigh somewhere between 140-150lbs and I'm definitely on the curvier side (thighs & butt). When I first tried them on, I noted they were not super high waisted, but they weren't so low that I expected a problem. When I wore them to the climbing gym, I found myself constantly pulling the pants up. They fit my legs fine, but they aren't as snug on my waist as I'd like. When I squat down, the backside of the pants moves down, almost exposing my underwear. I think I'll use these for rope climbing with a harness (to act as a belt), but definitely won't use for bouldering.

Huge fan of these! Very comfortable, terrific pockets (that are harness accessible!). The only wish I had is adding a drawstring to the waist so I could make sure the waist fits snug because I'm right between a small and a medium

These Are THE Pants

I was a die-hard Halle pants girl for years (I still wear them, but they are no longer my go-tos). These are so sturdy, but still lightweight and breathable. Both the waist and the ankles are durable elastic; no need to manually cinch or tie them and they will still stay comfortably in place without cutting into you while you are moving. I have hiked, climbed, and slept in these in both warm and cold weather, and they have all held up (4 pairs in now, & they all see their fair share of wear time). Deep pockets, slim design, and they dont lose their shape at the knees or anywhere else after being worn for a long day out. These are comfortable enough to lounge in too. I have them in a few colors now (that seem to hold up against frequent washings also!) because I cant always wait for one pair to get through the laundry before I want to wear them again.

These are great, rugged pants. Pretty much perfect for anything outdoors and comfy enough just to wear around the house. I love the size and placement of pockets. Got them in two colors.
