Why We Like The Sonic-Pro Wader
Redington designed its Sonic-Pro Wader for the angler that spends upwards of ten hours a day fishing for everything from wild steelhead, salmon, and trout. The Sonic-Pro may be simple by design, but we rest assured knowing it's built to withstand the harshest fishing environments we'll encounter.
For starters, Redington used a four-layer fabric that is waterproof and breathable and used SonicWeld seams for added protection against the kind of leaks traditional taped seams can produce. Integrated neoprene booties and reinforced lower legs protect against debris both in and out of the water, and the chest-high design allows you to wade a bit deeper during river crossings and when fishing those hard-to-reach seams. The addition of an adjustable waist belt and suspenders allow you to make quick adjustments to the fit as you start to lose that winter weight you tacked on sipping porters and tying PMDs.

Writing for both myself and brother in law who ordered the same waders at the same time. Both pairs had the crotch seam leak and open within one season. There is no actual stitching in the most vulnerable part of the wader. Redington's customer service was abysmal to deal with, would take "a couple months to repair" an obvious manufacturers defect. Fixing myself with a cheap patch kit and not losing several months of the fishing season. This was the second time trying to deal with Redington's customer service... Fool my twice right? After being loyal to Redington for many many years, 'll never buy from them again.

A Modest Workhorse

These waders simply get the job done. I've strapped them to my handlebars bikepacking, shoved them in my pack for alpine lake backpack trips, walked miles through nasty brush, scaled sharp basalt banks, and fished for steelhead in the brutal Idaho winters without complaint. Layer up your legs when it's cold, and let the Sonic Pros keep you dry. Durable and dependable, I am satisfied with my purchase and you will be, too. Wear a vest or backpack if you desire a few more pockets. I am 5'10" @180lbs and the ML is a tad tall but not unmanageable.

Runs a size or two larger

According to the measurements I got an L for my height... when I tried it on, the top was almost to my chin and I could get my gf in there with me as well. I was looking for a more snug fit to still be able to put on a few layers underneath. Seems solid construction otherwise.

Great value waders

After first weekend out, very pleased with fit, function and durability. After 1.5 years of moderate use the crotch is leaking a bit, fabric is wearing and seam tape is coming unglued. Otherwise very happy, and will work with the repair dept ad Redington on a fix.
