Super Web Grease
We love this stuff. We use Rock n' Roll Super Web grease to pack ceramic bearings in all our retrofits. And we're not the only ones who love it. Bearing manufacturer Enduro has an affinity to the Super-Web, as do many component manufacturers, including: Hugi, Race Face, Cane Creek, American Classic, and White industries. When you get new components from them, the white grease in with the bearings is the RnR Super-Web.
The stuff is sticky and runny at the same time. By sticky, we mean that it sticks to the ball bearings and races like nobody's business. By runny, we mean that when the balls start to roll, it is smoother and has less resistance than other greases. The "Web" in the name comes from what happens when you try to pull the lube out of a race of off a bearing. It's like string cheese or that stuff Spidey shoots. The magic in the lube is PTFE (sometimes known as Teflon). One tube is 4oz. -- enough to give you years of usage.
