right on

My new favorite boots! Never owning Salomon's before, these stuck out too me. Was looking for more ankle support, something that was higher up. These were it. Boots ran bigger than expected, but once I got my fit they were good to go. No real "break in" time needed. Hit the trails right off bagging peaks thought all sorts of terrain, very durable.

Best Boots!

I have always loved Salomon's Quest Hiking Boots, so of course I had to treat myself to the newest model. I love the height these offer, there is absolutely no break in time which means no blisters. Super sturdy and durable, and extra waterproof. If you are on the fence about this purchase, just do it. Your feet will not regret it. I am usually a size 9 in other brands but I have always been an 8.5 in Salomons

A wide foots dream

Familiarity:: I've put it through the wringer

I saw reviews complaining of how wide these shoes ran so I knew I needed a pair. I wear a 6.5, finding wide shoes in a half size is hard. These boots a perfect. I love that the laces lock below the ankle so they can be adjusted just right. I am able to allow my foot room to breathe while still trying the boot tight to my ankle. This was a life saver working in Tallahassee, the mud couldn't take the boot off my foot and the gortex kept my feet dry, despite the mud, humidity, and sweat The sole is supportive and the toe area is wide allowing my toes to spread comfortably rather than crushing my pinky toe the way most boots tend to do. I will be getting another pair as soon as I can, they were on sale when I bought them so I am just waiting for the price to drop again. While this boot does run wide it is just what I need. Those with narrow feet steer clear or size down, this may not be the boot for you.

My saviors

Familiarity:: I've put it through the wringer

After a drastic ankle fusion surgery, I had to discard most of my boots and shoes. This alone was a heartbreaker, but I then was faced with finding boots and shoes to accommodate my L shaped foot. I bought a pair of these Salomons and the comfort was immediate. The light weight and full support of them has gotten me back on the trail a year and a half later. I wear them for work (horseshoeing) and everyday use. I will be purchasing a second pair in case this model is ever discontinued. I love them period.
