Unsure about the promise
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer
I'm 6'1", 185 lbs and generally sleep a little on the cold side. I bought this product to get my 20 degree bag (Cat's Meow) closer to zero territory, which would (theoretically) make it a little toastier for me in 20-30 degree F weather. I gave it a test run last week when temps here in Mass were about 25 degrees overnight. Around 3am, I got pretty cold and stayed cold until sunrise. Not freezing, but not comfortable either. It does not appear to give the advertised 10-20 degree 'bump' that it promises, but I will keep it as an ultralight option for summer. Also, my baselayers felt like they clinged to the liner, which twisted me up a bit in the bag.
