Works really well on the long haul

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

On my road bike, I have a Shimano Alfine internal gear hub, 11 speed for a 1 x 11 setup. I got the Di2 motorized shifter for it and use this battery to do the shifting. After some rides around my home for most of a summer, I rode this bike along the Pacific Coast from Canada to Mexico in the fall of 2019, immediately pre-covid. The shifting and charging were flawless. Indicator lighting works properly, and only once did I run out of juice so was locked into a gear with no means to change it. I'm thinking about 7 to 10 thousand shifts per charge. I have a front dynamo hub and was able to charge the Di2 battery while riding for the rest of the day and all worked out just fine. Good system, Shimano.

Battery Is DEAD!

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I finally got my bike built and plugged in the battery and to my surprise my brand new Di2 system is DEAD! Shouldn't there be at least SOME charge in a brand new battery?? I hope it's only a charge issue and this battery isn't a dud!!!
