Why We Like The Attack MTB ChromaPop Sunglasses

The Attack MTB ChromaPop Sunglasses sport impressive coverage, durable materials, and optimized tints for riding off-road. They protect our eyes from errant trail debris and the sun's rays. Moreover, we also get a sharp field of vision thanks to ChromaPop technology. Smith provides two of its flagship lenses, one that's a darker tint for more exposed trails and a low light Amber lens when deep under a canopy of trees. Both tints reduce color confusion while filtering harmful UV rays for a crisper field of view and better color contrasts. The lens shape increases coverage area for added protection from the wind, light, and debris, while the partial frame front and strategically placed vents integrate with Smith cycling helmets for a gap-free fit and enhanced ventilation for fog-free performance. Lastly, these sunglasses are equipped with Smith's quick-release MAG interchangeable system and come with a zipper case and microfiber bag for protection for when you're not wearing them.

just not strong enough

the lens quality is great but the construction of the removable arms and joint to the lens itself simply does not lend itself to any longevity. i have only worn these glasses a few times, no crashes, always back in the case after the ride, 5-6 rides in, the lens attachment point for the arms broke off.

Great lens, poor design

Love these lenses, but the design of the maglock connection points are way too fragile for mountain biking. I babied mine as I'd read a review before buying that they were fragile. Yet, the plastic bracket that attaches the arm to the lens broke off. I submitted a warranty through Smith, and they replaced them without question. I'd choose a newer Smith design over these fragile (and very expensive) glasses.

Worth the Investment

These glasses are worth it, arms and nose piece snap off for quick lens changes. Light as a feather. The lenses are so good, solid case to throw into the gear bag. We ride in a wooded area with tree canopy and the shadows/obstacles pop now. She was concerned about the price for her riding level but so happy with the results!
