Love it

Super lightweight and the fit is spot on. Not sure I’ll ever go back to a heavy full face that doesn’t breathe. Your neck will thank you.

So, thought I would give this a few months of use before giving my review: Pros: Fit is way better than the previous IXS full face I tried- my 59cm head fits nicely with the large This absolutely one of the highest quality helmets I have ever put on my head. I feel very, very safe with it on. My son who is 15 actually said his bell super DH felt like a toy after checking this one out. The helmet feels very light even though on paper is might be heavier than some. The ventilation is very good. And last but not least, the chin bar sits slightly low so you don’t have a ton of blowback when you are breathing hard and you can get your mouth to a water bottle pretty easily. I have worn this on several multi hour rides with thousands of feet of climbing without noticing much of a difference between this and my half shell. Cons: As other have said, it is squeaky, but has improved with use-they do not include any cloth barrier between the MIPS liner and the helmet like the Bell super DH, for example. I solved this issue by placing a very small piece of rolled up gorilla tape at the top of the helmet Between the MIPS layers, this decreases the ease of up and down movement ever so slightly without changing the rotation side to side within the MIPS system- i still feel like the MIPS is working without moving too easily up and down and making a bunch or racket. I am also disappointed that the visor does not adjust high enough to completely get my smith goggles out of my peripheral vision when I put them up there- this is completely beyond me how Smith missed this! I actually bought the matching smith goggles with the helmet partially for this reason. And finally- the buckle on this helmet is very nice but seems like overkill. All in all I am glad I bought the helmet and love it.

Looks Great & Super Lightweight

Familiarity:
I've put it through the wringer

I've ridden in the helmet a few times now, mostly for enduro racing, and I really like it. It's lightweight and EXTREMELY breathable. The visor is in the right spot so it actually provides some sun protection, unlike my more traditional full-face helmet. The channel for your goggle strap is awesome and keeps you from looking like a Fred. In typical Smith fashion, the integration with my Squad MTB goggles is seamless. (no gaper-gap here!) At first I was a little bummed on the double loop chin strap, but I got used to it quick. It's super secure and really comfortable. They put a really soft, velvety material on both sides. I knocked off one star because of the fit. Even with the three sets of pads, I couldn't quite get it to fit right. The medium pads are a little tighter than I want and the slimmer pads are too small. I'm hoping the medium pads will pack down just a bit so it doesn't squeeze my cheeks so much. I will say that changing out the pads is really simple. They just pop in and out with little snaps. I've got a bigger head and bought a large. It fits, but I'm between sizes on the cheek pads.

Nice helmet head shape may make squeak.

Familiarity:
I've used it several times

Love helmet head shape may make squeak. The MIPS in my helmet was rubbing against the plastic honeycomb looking material within the helmet. I put a piece of scotch tape where it was rubbing and alleviated the problem. But did have to put tape on a brand new $300 helmets. I think the helmet squeaks if your head shape makes the MIPS rub. Other than that I like the helmet a lot breaths good and it’s very light. Could not get video to upload.

Tried this helmet out in the green and loved the color. Looks just like the picture. I ordered a Medium and it fit a little big around my head but tight in the jaw. It is super light.

This helmet is great! It's light weight and super comfortable. It runs a bit small but there are 3 sizes of cheek pads, so for shouldn't be an issue. I can actually wear my headlamp with this helmet! The headlamp straps slide under the visor and secure it in place. I tried a headlamp with the Fox Proframe and it would slide right off. My only complaint is the chinstrap. It's very comfortable but the buckle design is archaic. Most helmet chinstraps I've seen recently are magnetic or at least have a clip. This has a buckle that you have to thread the strap through every time you put it on. Smith put all the bells and whistles into this helmet but the chinstrap seems like it was an afterthought.

This is the most comfortable full face on the market. It breaths super well and is crazy light. I use it for bike parks and heavy trail rides and an occasional race.
