Why We Like The NX Eagle DUB Groupset
SRAM's NX Eagle DUB Groupset brings the improved chain retention, simple shifting, and quiet operation of SRAM's 12-speed Eagle drivetrains to a pricepoint that's easy to swallow without skimping on performance. This kit has all the necessary components to build out your bike with a 1 x 12 drivetrain, with the exception of a SRAM DUB bottom bracket to match your frame.
This groupset includes the crankset, cassette, chain, rear derailleur, shifter, and b-gap adjustment tool. The crankset comes with a 32t, 6mm offset chainring for non-Boost bikes with QR or 12 x 142mm rear hub spacing. The crankset works with just about any frame provided you get the correct bottom bracket (sold separately).

Questionable product No support from BC

- I've put it through the wringer
I purchased the NX eagle groupset and had it installed. It worked great for 4 months. I really enjoyed the upgrade from my old 2x10 groupset. All was great until... On my daily ride I was transitioning from a flat incline to a steep climb and I downshifted. When I shifted I immediately felt something lock up. Luckily I was able to get my feet out of the pedals before I injured myself in the fall. Shortly thereafter I noticed that the rear derailleur had detached from the bike and entered into the wheel and broke a spoke. It wasn't the derailleur hanger that broke, but the actual derailleur snapped at its attachment point to the hanger. I immediately contacted backcountry.com for support and was directed to their warranty department. I sent in a picture and outlined my claim. The representative from backcountry.com responded saying "This could have been avoided by proper set up and maintenance. If you would like assistance purchasing a replacement derailleur feel free to call our gearheads at 1-800-409-4502 Thank you! " I was insulted that he was implying that it was my fault and denied the warranty claim. I wouldn't let it go however, because I believed after inspecting the derailleur that it was a manufacturing problem. So I decided to take it to my local bike shop that I have entrusted with maintaining my bikes for years. They were immediately helpful and were able to contact SRAM directly and ultimately were able to procure a new derailleur for free through their warranty program. It was installed and the bike functions great again. Backcountry.com has a reputation for taking all returns and great customer service, but in my case I realized that wasn't the case. They refused to help me out, or even submit a warranty claim on my behalf, while questioning my understanding of bike maintenance. I would not recommend purchasing this item from backcountry.com incase you too have a defective derailleur and would like your online retailer to provide you customer support you deserve. Hope this helps you decide what you should purchase. Happy Trails!
