DWR, or Durable Water Repellent, is a treatment applied to the fabric of your parka that makes it water-resistant. This means that when it rains or snows lightly, water will bead up and roll off instead of soaking into the fabric. The 700-fill down rating indicates a high level of insulation efficiency. Fill power measures how fluffy the down is; the higher the number, the better it traps heat while remaining lightweight. A parka is a longer coat designed specifically for cold weather, often featuring a hood for added protection.
