I Love this E Bike rack

I have a Townie E bike with fenders and this rack fit the job to carry 2 E bikes. Who ever designed it thought everything out. it has a ramp to assist loading and unloading, that stores within the rack. The hitch connection couldn't be easier no wrench needed, easy to take off and put on and folds up like a suitcase with wheels for easy storage... Even the tire straps store in the rack so they are not flopping around when not in use. this rack is pricey, but worth every dollar.. This rack is hard to find, Thule can't keep them in stock, I was lucky to find this one thru backcountry.. Great to deal with free 2 day shipping.. I highly recommend...

E Bike Buyers Beware

We ordered this bike rack because the description says it is easy to use. That is far from the truth. But I will go through other issues with it before addressing ease of use. First of all, the plastic wheels on the base are poorly constructed, brittle, and break easily. We didn’t know they were broken when we got it until we used it the first time. The support clamps are of little or no use for a bike that isn’t of classic, tubular design. The support straps provided do not fit fat tires, so we had to order some from another company. The folding ramp to put the bikes on the rack are worthless. Finally, it is very difficult to use because the clearance from one bike to the other is insufficient. We had to start over again and again to put the bikes on the rack because the pedals wouldn’t fit. For us, the rack was a waste of money and Backcountry will not provide even a partial refund. Save your money and for heavier fat tire e bikes with fat tires, buy a much cheaper dirt bike rack.
