Unsolvable Wind Noise

I purchased this setup for a 21 Crosstrek (locally) and after about three months had to replace them with standard Subaru brand crossbars because they were so loud on the highway. Starting at about 50mph the bars began to whistle, a minor annoyance at first began to drive me insane. I reinstalled them multiple times to ensure I'd done everything correctly but every attempt failed. No other complaints beyond this. My theory is that with the Crosstrek rails being shorter, the angle of the front bar created the noise.

Arrived Damaged

- I've put it through the wringer
arrived damaged, arrived without manual. Got one bar on the car only to realize I couldn't complete the job due to not being able to install the second damaged piece and the rubber seals don't seem to fit the bars....so this hasn't been a great first experience.
