Why We Like The Zeal Portal XL Goggles
As the larger version of the ever-popular Portal goggle, the Portal XL is able to offer enhanced peripheral vision and a comfortable fit over eyeglasses. This enhanced peripheral vision often leads to slight warping but thankfully the spherical lenses match the curve of your eye to eliminate any distortion.

Good goggles, hard to fog up
- Size Bought:
- Double

The anti-fog on these is really good, I haven't had fogging issues with them this season. Even with a mask on these haven't fogged up on me, and I found that I could leave them on in lift lines when it's snowing heavily. My Smith I/O X goggles fogged up really badly with similar use (this is why I replaced them). The lens change system makes lens changes really easy, and it feels secure. I'm not sure if the description above says it or not, but it does come with a 2nd low light lens.

XL doesn't mean for bigger heads
- Familiarity:
- I've put it through the wringer

So, I tried these side by side with the regular Zeal Portal goggles. I have a very big head (typically need to wear size XL helmets, and hat shopping is a nightmare for me because everything is too small). The Portal XL is slightly more concave than the Portal, meaning that, counter-intuitively, the XL fits better on a narrower face. The goggle itself is slightly taller and wider (by a few mm), but again, "wider" meaning that it would wrap around further a narrower face.

I ordered these in Dark Night/Alchemy Mirror, which shoes a minty-orange lens on the website. However, the actual product is more of a dark blue and pink lens. Just a headsup! Great goggles otherwise!
